Pravin Desale
Vice President and India Managing Director
LSI Technologies (India) Pvt Ltd
Mr. Pravin Desale is the Managing Director and Vice President for India operations of LSI Corporation (NYSE:LSI). He also leads LSI’s Global R&D strategies. He is responsible for regional customer alignments and workflow optimizations for the organization.
Pravin has more than seventeen years of experience in engineering, business management, and development of various embedded technologies.
Prior to his role at LSI, Pravin established Metta Semiconductors in India and served as the Managing Director until LSI’s acquisition of Metta in late 2006. Prior to Metta, Pravin was involved as the co-founder in establishment of Parama Networks (later acquired by Bay Microsystems in 2004), Crios, Inc and Mediamatics Inc. (later acquired by National Semiconductor).
Pravin served on board of directors of startups like Ingot Systems, Inc (recently acquired by Virage Logic Corporation), Onista Inc, Pixelite Inc and Keeno Inc.
Pravin holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University, Santa Clara (USA) and a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from College of Engineering, Pune (India).

Brief Abstract:
Redesigning Data Center Networks: IP traffic will increase by a factor of five from 2008 to 2013. Datacenter Networks will need to evolve to manage this data explosion. We will discuss storage and networking trends with a focus on evolving services and usage models that will drive growth.

Vivek Vasishtha is an Electronics Engineer and an MBA in Marketing & IT, having 15+
years of well rounded professional experience in Telecom domain with Business Development & Sales, Marketing and Strategic Planning and Policy & Regulatory Affairs as his key functional areas.
He has worked across technologies and has a significant and varied exposure of working in and leading varied cross-functional and cross-cultural teams at national and international levels.
Prior to Intel, Vivek was with Ericsson for five years wherein he served as a catalyst for many strategic initiatives for Ericsson including the Passive Infrastructure Sharing Project ‘Project ‘MOST’ and ‘Project Gramjyoti’.
Vivek has a keen interest and an active involvement in Policy matters and Regulatory affairs in our Telecom eco-system. He has been proactively sharing technology developments and its impact to market and policy by regular participation in public consultations on policy and regulation issues.
