We are excited to introduce the new COMSNETS 5K as part of this year's COMSNETS Ignite Bundle, designed to bring out the athlete in each of you. Join us on Sunday at the beautiful Cubbon Park for a fun and challenging run that’s a little more than the usual 5K, covering approximately 3.5 miles. You'll be provided with a scenic 3.5-mile route through the park, guided by rookie pacers who are runners on the side, adding a touch of friendly camaraderie to the event. To keep you energized, we will offer a delightful selection of refreshments, including coffee, juices, breads, and parathas, both before and after the run in the designated breakfast area. Whether you're a seasoner runner or just looking to energize your day, the COMSNETS 5K is perfect for you! So, lace up your Hokas or Ons or Sauconys and join us for an energizing morning of fitness and frenzy in one of the city's most beautiful parks. We can't wait to see you there!

COMSNETS 5K+: The Unconventional 3.5-Miler Race

Since when was COMSNETS ever par for the course? 🙂

Success begins just outside your comfort zone---and sometimes, it’s an extra half mile away.

Who said we have to stick to tradition? The COMSNETS 5K+, we are calling the Unconventional 3.5-Miler Awesome Race, is here to challenge the norm and push your limits---literally and figuratively. When you think you have conquered the 5K mark, this race dares you to go that extra half-ish mile. It is a reminder to dig deep, even when you are feeling the Bangalore “heat” on a winter morning---especially if you are visiting from colder parts of the world.

Why the extra (half) mile? To gear up for an entrepreneurial day at the second, newly enhanced edition of the Entrepreneur Ignite Summit (EIS). Nestled in the heart of the COMSNETS conference, this energizing morning run will kickstart your day and add a spring to your step. Lace up your Hokas, Sauconys, or ONs, and join us for this unique event. Prefer a more relaxed pace? Stroll through the serene Cubbon Park instead! Just remember, Bangalore’s traffic waits for no one---the roads open to traffic at 8 AM, so we will start the race promptly at 7:10 AM, wrapping up everything by 8 AM.

This exciting race is co-chaired by a dynamic team spanning different expertise and perspectives: high schooler Shayok Bagchi, undergraduates Harsh Vardhan, Naman Pant, Adarsh Singh, Ojaswa Varshney, and Nilesh Kumar, and the more seasoned enthusiasts, Rajeev Shorey (Steering Committee Co-Chair), Suman Banerjee (General Co-Chair), and Somali Chaterji (TPC Co-Chair). In tandem, they bring a shared enthusiasm and fresh energy to make this event truly one-of-a-kind. Whether you are racing to challenge yourself or strolling to soak in the beauty of Cubbon Park, the COMSNETS 5K+ is your chance to start the day on a high note, one stride at a time. See you at the starting line and then again, huffing and puffing, at the finish line!
