Bio of Ashvin Vellody

Ashvin Vellody , Director - Advisory, heads the Strategy and Performance advisory practice at KPMG India responsible to grow the practice nationally. Vellody has more than 17 years of experience leading business and technology transformation, solution development, process improvement, organizational change, systems integration, and other initiatives. He works closely with the CXO community to help them define, execute and assess their technology vision and roadmap and realize true value from the IT function to enable them to compete in the global marketplace,

In addition to the above role, Ashvin also co-heads the management consulting advisory for the Telecom sector for KPMG India. Vellody's expertise is to advise Fortune 500 clients on strategies to transform their business operations using ranging from 3G transformation, M - commerce, BSS/OSS, CRM and Network optimization. His domain focus allows him works closely with the telecommunications players including the mobile operators, m commerce vendors and software companies active in this space. Before relocating to India with KPMG, Vellody was a Senior Vice President at Yankee Group with the responsibility to head the global consulting and research business of the firm. He successfully led a turnaround of results amidst the economic crisis with a focus on driving accountability within the employees to serve the needs of customers first. He also co hosted the 4G World summit and was a frequent speaker at events and industry conferences throughout the world.

Prior to Yankee Group, he was director of Strategy & technology delivery at U.S. Cellular, where he oversaw IT strategy, IT planning, asset management and solutions architecture. Vellody also worked at Capgemini LLC as senior manager of consulting services for over six years. Vellody holds an M.B.A. degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, USA. He also received a bachelor of electrical and electronics engineering degree from the National Institute of Technology in Surathkal, India. In addition, he holds PMI Project Management Professional certification, and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.

Bio of K. K. Ramakrishnan

Dr. K. K. Ramakrishnan is a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Labs-Research. He joined AT&T Bell Labs in 1994 and has been with AT&T Labs-Research since its inception in 1996. Prior to 1994, he was a Technical Director and Consulting Engineer in Networking at Digital Equipment Corporation. Between 2000 and 2002, he was at TeraOptic Networks, Inc., as Founder and Vice President.

Dr. Ramakrishnan is an AT&T Fellow, recognized for his fundamental contributions on communication networks and lasting impact on AT&T and the industry, including his work on congestion control, traffic management and VPN services. He is an IEEE Fellow, and has received other awards. His work on the "DECbit" congestion avoidance protocol was recognized in the 1995 retrospective issue of ACM Sigcomm Computer Communication Review as one of the 16 most important papers published over the previous 25 years in ACM Sigcomm publications. The work once again received the ACM Sigcomm Test of Time Paper Award in 2006. He has published nearly 200 papers and has more than 100 patents issued in his name. K.K. has been on the editorial board of several journals and has served as the TPC Chair and General Chair for several networking conferences and has been a member of the National Research Council Panel on Information Technology for NIST.

Dr. Ramakrishnan is involved in a variety of technical activities including Content Delivery, Cloud Computing, and Network Architecture at AT&T Labs Research. He is also involved in setting strategic direction for research activities in AT&T Labs Research. His recent efforts have been in Video Delivery, both in the context of IPTV as well as over the AT&T Mobility networks. He has also been involved in AT&T's efforts to 'Network the Cloud' and in the recent research on Information Centric Networking.

Arun Prabhudesai , Co-founder and CTO at Enhance Education, has over 16 years of diverse Information Technology experience spanning across geographies.
