How to Participate?

Step 1: Contact organizers

Please contact Organizers via email to register your participation
Contact Email: [email protected]

Demos are complimentary for all sponsoring organizations. For the non-sponsoring organizations, COMSNETS charges a nominal registration fee if their proposal is accepted for demonstration.

Demonstrations from start-ups and universities are highly encouraged with the possibility of limited financial support from COMSNETS towards the registration fee.

We will have approximately 10 demos fron non-sponsoring organizations.

Step 2: Prepare a demo proposal

Demo proposals are invited for both mature or innovative systems and prototypes developed for commercial use or for research purposes, from start-ups, industries and academia. Demonstrations will be selected based on their novelty, technical quality, and attractiveness of the demonstrated system.

Is there any format for writing demo proposals?

Please refer to http://comsnets.org/submission_guidelines.html for Formatting, Paper Size and additional Submission Guidelines.

Note: You need not create an EDAS account as mentioned on the Submission Guidelines page, but are required to send your submission via email to [email protected] as explained in the Step 3

Is there any page limitation for the proposal?

Yes, 2 pages.

Are there any tips for writing demo proposals?

You can have a section on the problem your product is solving, it's motivation, and it's significance. You can have a section on the technical content to be demonstrated. Keep a section on giving overview of the demonstration set-up (the inclusion of photographs of the demonstrator are encouraged). Any additional URLs that link to screen-shots, live demos, or related information are encouraged.

Step 3: Submit proposal doc and requirement doc

In addition to the proposal, please provide a word document (not in IEEE format) with details about equipment or facilities required for the system demonstration in addition to the general requirements.

Please zip your proposal doc and requirement doc in a file and email it to [email protected]

Step 4: Demo setup (and optional poster)

If your demo gets selected, you can optionally prepare a poster in A0 size. We will help you to put up the poster.

You have to prepare a demo Presentation of 2 slides:

Each organization will be given a 6/4 ft table with a white table cloth, 2 chairs with their requirement of power points. They will also be provided 1 easels/white board in the Demo hall next to their table. The WiFi internet access will also be provided to each.
