COMSNETS 2014 features a “Demos and Exhibits” session designed to allow industry and researchers to showcase their latest industrial applications and research prototypes in all communications and networking related topics. This includes innovative technologies, platforms, analysis tools and applications related to (but not limited to) the topics:

The poster and demo sessions will be co-located over two days to ensure maximum visibility and favor a close interaction between presenters and participants.

Key Features

Demo Session: Demos & Exhibits will be showcased for 2 days along with a dedicated demo session of 2 hrs as part of the main conference agenda. The demo paper will be published to the IEEE digital library as part of COMSNETS 2014.

Demo Snap Talk: In the main conference agenda, each demo will get 3 mins to advertise their key concept. The presentations of the accepted demos will be published in the COMSNETS 2014 website as well in the digital proceedings.

Best Demo Award: This will be presented for the demo which exhibits highly innovative technological research overcoming major technical difficulties and also exhibit high benefits.

Call for Demo Submissions [pdf Link]

Demo proposals are invited for both mature or innovative systems and prototypes developed for commercial use or for research purposes, from industries and academia.

Accepted demonstrations could be supported by a poster describing the general set-up of the demonstration, its background and technical content to be demonstrated. Demonstrations will be selected based on their novelty, technical quality, and attractiveness of the demonstrated system. We will have approximately 12 – 15 demos (depending space constraints). The demos shall be allocated between COMSNETS Sponsoring-organizations and Non-sponsoring organization.

Demos are complimentary for all sponsoring organizations. For the non-sponsoring organizations, COMSNETS charges a nominal registration fee of (INR TBD) if their proposal is accepted for demonstration. Demonstrations from start-ups and universities are highly encouraged with the possibility of limited financial support from COMSNETS towards the registration fee.

Suggested Content:

  1. Technical content to be demonstrated.
  2. An overview of the demonstration set-up (the inclusion of photographs of the
    demonstrator are encouraged) and the results that will be shown to attendees.
  3. Any URLs that link to screen-shots, live demos, or related information
Demo Requirements Provide all the necessary details required for conducting the demo. This document is necessary to provide the additional requirements apart from the basic requirements provided by COMSNETS team. Provide a word document with details about
Equipment or facilities required for the system demonstration in addition to the general
requirements
Demo Presentation Prepare a presentation for the Demo Snap Talk not exceeding 2 slides. This presentation will be published through the COMSNETS 2014 website.

Demo Presentation should be of only 2 slides:

  1. Problem definition and motivation (1 slide)
  2. Ideas and Results (1 slide)

 Exhibits Space and Logistics:

Each organization will be given a 6/4 ft table with a white table cloth, 2 chairs with their requirement of power points. They will also be provided 1 easels/white board in the Demo hall next to their table. The WiFi internet access will also be provided to each.
